Located 33 km/20 mi north of
Williams Lake on
Highway 97 in
Cariboo Chilcotin Coast, Soda Creek was an important centre, where travelers boarded paddle-wheelers to go up river to
Quesnel. At the Xats'ull Heritage Village on the edge of the river near Soda Creek, there are ancient petroglyphs, pit houses, and a sweat lodge. Tours can be arranged.
