Canada's national passenger railroad, VIA Rail, offers three scenic excursions featuring some of the best views in Britsih Columbia. The Skeena travels 725 miles between Jasper, Alberta, and Prince Rupert on British Columbia's Pacific coast three times weekly. The Malahat (still referred to as the "E & N" by some folks) runs daily between Victoria and Courtenay, BC on Vancouver Island's beautiful east coast. The Canadian, with its art deco decor, dining car, and dome cars, traverse the country and includes a route between Vancouver and Jasper with fabulous views of the Canadian Rockies.
