Aartselaar is a southern suburb of
Antwerp, with a population of 15,000. The E19 roadway skirts its eastern edge. An architectural hilight of Aartselaar is the posh Hotel Kasteel Solhof. It is housed is a former private palace, dating from the 18th century save for two towers from it's 16th century heyday as a water castle.
