Binche Belgium

Binche, a commune of 32,000, lies in between Mons and Charleroi. The town's fortified walls, which date from between the 12th and 14th centuries, still stand. Carnaval is celebrated in Binche every February, with parades and spectacular costumery. The festival is so important to the locals that for many, their entire year is planned around it.

Bray, Buvrinnes, Epinois, Leval-Trahegnies, Peronnes-lez-Binche, Ressaix, and Waudrez are boroughs within the municipal district of Binche.
