Blankenberge is a coastal resort town with 17,000 permanent residents, adjacent to the deep sea port of
Zeebrugge. The principle industry is tourism, with seaside hotels, a large pier, and a casino to serve and amuse vacationers. Of historic interest is a 14th century church, St. Anthony's.
