Chevetogne is notable for its provincial estate (a recreation area) and a Benedictine Monastery. The Monastery is a young organization by Belgian standards, having been established in 1939 (many abbeys in Belgium were established as far back as the Dark Ages). There are two churches, a Byzantine in the Novgorod style consecrated in 1957, and a Latin Basilica from 1996.
Chevetogne is a borough within the commune of Ciney.
