There are actually two dams in the Eau d Heure valley; the first is named after the valley itself, and the second is called the Plate-Tille Dam. They were originally constructed to guarantee adequate watersupply to the surrounding region, but the Lake of Eau d'Heure has also become a popular center for boating, swimming, windsurfing, scuba, fishing, and canoeing. The area around the lake is popular with hikers and cyclists.
