Some of Forest is, indeed, forested: Duden park, Forest park, Jacques Brel park, Abbe Froidure park and the Bempt area. Still, room has been found for 46,000 residents among the trees. The Town Hall of Forest is younger than most in Belgium; built in 1935, it has an art deco interior. Cultural events are hosted at a former abbey, and at Forest National Concert Hall, seating 6,000. The highest point in the Brussels administrative district lies in Forest; it is crowned by the Cathedral of Saint-Augustin.
Forest is located south of Brussels Center.
