Fosteau Castle

Chateau du Fosteau

Search Leers-et-Fosteau

The Castle of Fosteau appears to have a split personality -- the lower half of the building is made from grey limestone, while most upper parts are made of red brick. The limestone base dates from the 14th and 15th centuries; the brick portions were grafted on in 1599.

Fosteau is open to the public several days each week. Parts of the castle serve as a showroom for antiques that may be purchased. Art exhibits and theatrical presentations are often hosted at Fosteau, as well.
