Hamme is a commune of 23,000 some 25 kilometers east of
Antwerp. The
Scheldt River flows around Hamme, first skirting its southern edge, then turning 90 degrees and tracing the eastern border.
Moerzeke is a borough within the municipal district of Hamme.
