Lommel

Lommel is a commune of 30,000 at the north of Limburg province, on the Dutch border. Lommel began as a Frankish square in the early dark ages. The largest German military cemetery in Belgium lies on Lommel's outskirts, with 40,000 soldiers and 20,000 black stone crosses. A large nature reserve, the Kattenbos, is nearby.
