As one might gather from the enormous book sculpture in the village square, Redu is renowned as a center for bibliophiles -- a host of bookshops set up shop there in the 1980s. Used and rare books are a specialty for many of these shops. Redu is also noted for the Euro Space Station, a few km from the village center.
