Rumbeke Castle was commisioned by Thomas de Thiennes around the year 1538. This Flemish Rennaissance style edifice has a few unusual flourishes, including a hexagonal tower topped by an onion dome. It is surrounded by a lush park, the Sterrebos, or Star Forest.
