Tancremont

The town of Tancremont lies near the Vesdre River, east of Liege. A 12 century wooden statue of Jesus, unearthed in 1830 attracts a steady stream of pilgrims to the chapel where it is kept. The ruins of a concrete fortress built in the 1930s and destroyed by the locals to prevent its use by the advancing Germans have been turned into a museum.
