Brussels on the Senne River. This convenient location has been the source of much prosperity for Vilvoorde over the centuries, bringing it trade during the middle ages, and early industrialization (for better and worse). The Gothic Church of Our Lady is worth a visit. The Brussels-Antwerp Canal also passes through Vilvoorde.
