Virton

Virton, a commune of 11,000, is the capital of the Gaume region, in the far south of Belgium. It is a center of administration and education; the population figure includes some 3,000 students. Virton's Gaume Museum, which focuses on local history and archaeology, is well known for its collection of antique forged iron, especially fireplace paraphenalia.

Bleid, Ethe, Latour, Ruette, and Saint-Mard are boroughs within the municipal district of Virton.
