The Zinneke Parade is a celebration of Brussels cosmopolitan, multicultural identity. It is primarily a "people parade" filled with dancers, musicians, theatrical performers, and all sorts of bizarre individuals and organizations. There is heavy participation from the Brussels creative arts community: schools, workshops, youth centers, arts centers, guilds, folk companies, and hundreds of associations.
The parade takes place once every two years (on even calendar years), in May.
