Twenty miles up Indian Creek from
Taylorsville and past the pristine Genesee Valley, Antelope reservoir covers a maximum of 890 acres when filled to capacity. Antelope Lake Recreation Area offers many recreational activities. For camping there are the Boulder Creek, Lone Rock and the Long Point campgrounds. Fishing, swimming, hiking and boating are available at most of these campgrounds. Visitors can enjoy the many camping and water sport activities of Antelope Lake. From Water skiing and boating to swimming and fishing, Antelope Lake Recreation Area has a variety of water fun.
The Plumas area generally experiences warm, dry summers and cold, wet winters. Weather can change rapidly during all seasons of the year.
Antelope Lake Recreation Area is located in the northeastern region of the Mt. Hough Ranger District, southwest of Janesville.
