Trees and shrubs are arranged according to their native continents in a 127-acre setting. The horticultural research center has tropical and begonia greenhouses, a bird sanctuary, and a reference library. Significant buildings on the site include the Queen Anne Cottage and coach barn, the Hugh Reid Adobe, and the Santa Anita railroad depot. Also, contained on the site is Lake Baldwin, fed by underground springs.

Tram tours are conducted daily. The grounds are open daily except Christmas. Please call for times and admission prices.
