This hands-on children's museum is in the
Golden Gate National Recreation Area at the north end of the
Golden Gate Bridge. Both outdoor exhibitions and indoor activities take place. Some of the activities offered include crawling through an underwater sea tunnel, decorating a dollhouse, and fishing off a boat or pier. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The museum is Tuesday through Friday 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Museum is closed on Labor Day, Easter, the 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. The second Saturday of each month is free after 1:00 p.m.
