Brisbane

Brisbane is located in San Mateo County. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 3,303, an increase of 351 since 1990.

One theory says the community was named for the city in Australia, another says it was named after journalist Arthur Brisbane. It was also the center for bootlegging during Prohibition.

Brisbane is part of the San Francisco, California metro area.
