The Church in Merced is a California non-profit corporation, formalized in 2000. Prior to that, they met as the Saints in Merced. Meeting in homes is a New Testament principle and practice that Merced wishes to recover. It is consistent with the ministry to say they are a home based church. In a local church as the Church in Merced there are certain fixed practices for the building up and perfecting of the saints to produce the overcomers that will bring the Lord Jesus back to earth.
