Many of the exhibits at this museum explore the relationship of video and photography to art, society and politics. The museum features a library, camera collections, and 19th-20th century photography. The California Museum of Photography is an off-campus department of the University of California, Riverside, located in Downtown Riverside.

The California Museum of Photography is open Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from noon until 5:00 p.m. Admission to the museum is free.
