Capitola

The city of Capitola is California's oldest seaside resort. Capitola is an exquisite ocean side village. The town gives a Mediterranean feel with its cool temperatures and charming attractions. The village area was originally founded as a resort, "Camp Capitola," in 1869 and was incorporated as a city in 1949.

Capitola is located in Santa Cruz County on the southern city limits of Santa Cruz between Santa Cruz and Salinas along Highway 1 near Monterey Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Capitola is part of the Santa Cruz-Watsonville, California metro area.
