Founded in 1861, this very competitive school is an independent institution affiliated with the Disciples of Christ Christian Church, offering degree programs in liberal and fine arts, business, education and the health sciences. There are 4 undergraduate and 2 graduate schools. The 40-acre campus is in a suburban area 35 miles southeast of Los Angeles. Including residence halls there are 23 buildings. Very active fraternities and sororities as well as over 60 clubs and organizations are offered. Campus tours are available.
