El Centro has many activities for everyone. While visiting one must see Algodones Dunes, the Coyote Mountains Wilderness, Crucifixion Thorn Natural Area, or the Davies Valley & Pinto Canyon.
El Centro is located in Imperial County, of which it is the county seat, east of San Diego between the Salton Sea and the United States/Mexico border along Interstate 8 near the Colorado River and the Arizona state line.
