Gilroy Historical District Walking Tour

On March 12th, 1995, Gilroy celebrated its 125th birthday. Gilroy was the third city in Santa Clara County to become a municipality in 1870. The downtown historic district is an unusual blend of early brick commercial buildings, 20th Century Period revivals, the Art Deco of the 1920s and the Modern style of the 1940s. This walking tour captures some of the downtown Gilroy's unique character. Stop by the Gilroy Historical Museum to pick up a self-guided tour map. Guided tours can be arranged.
