The
Grass Valley Museum was originally built in 1865 as a convent for the Sisters of Mercy. The museum has an original classroom from an early school, a parlor, a music room, a doctor's office, & lots of memorabilia from the early days of
Nevada County.
The museum is open year round from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The months of June through October the museum is open from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on the weekends only. Tours are given by docents and admission is by donation.
