The College of Alameda campus was opened in June 1970 in response to the burgeoning demand for post-secondary education.Their programs lead to either the Associate of Arts or Associate of Science or to any of a number of Certificates of Completion and include: Aviation Maintenance Technology, Automotive Technology, CIS Certificate/Degree, Truck and Diesel Mechanics, Geography and the Title III Learning Lab (Basic skills courses: Computer Lab, Reading, Writing, Math and English as a Second Language Program). Online Courses are available as well, and include Physical Geography and Introduction to Computers. The College is located in Alameda County, CA, and total enrollment is about 4800.
