The California Maritime Academy is a four-year state college of business, engineering, technology and marine transportation. Cal Maritime is one of 23 campuses in The California State University system, yet is unique because of its rich history spanning decades.Most recently, Cal Maritime drastically changed its Business Administration degree. The degree no longer prepares students for licensing as third mates. Instead it provides students an in-depth understanding of the maritime industry, business, and trade and transportation. Business students also earn certification in either Global Logistics, Management, or Transportation. Looking forward, the student body is expected to increase to more than 1,000 in the near future. Also, new degree concentrations relating to the ocean, safety, the environment, logistics, trade and engineering will be added to the curriculum. Cal Maritime is located on a 67 acre site in Morrow Cove in Vallejo (Solano County).
