Dominican University of California (formerlyDominican College of San Rafael) is a small, independent Catholic, liberal arts college 17 miles north of San Francisco on a wooded 80 acre campus.The College is located in Marin County and has a total enrollment of about 1500. They offer 26 Undegraduate majors in Arts, Sciences, and two professional programs. Their strengths lie in Business, Biology, English/Writing, International Studies, Education, Psychology, Nursing, and Occupational Therapy. The programs lead to bachelors degrees, post bachelor certificates and masters degrees. Athletically, DUC offers intercollegiate competition in women's and men's basketball and soccer as well as women's volleyball. Dominican recently added a women's softball program as well as a cheerleading squad. Student housing is available for 280.
