The Institute for Creation Research was first established in 1970 and reorganized with its present name in 1972 to meet the need for an organization devoted to research, publication, and teaching in those fields of science particularly relevant to the study of origins. It was originally formed as the research division of Christian Heritage College (also established in 1970, but became separate and autonomous in 1981).
ICR offers seminars, conferences, debates, various other speaking engagements, creation science workshops, radio/tv outreach, graduate school in the sciences, museum of creation and earth history, creation research, guided tours to areas of geological interest, books, videos, publications and free periodicals.
ICR is a non-profit private institution, located in Santee, San Diego County, CA. Total enrollment is approximately 35. The program leads to masters degrees.
