Founded in 1925, Lassen is the 12th oldest community college in California and is located on 165 acres that overlooks the city of
Susanville (a rural town of 10,000) to Diamond Mountain. It is near Eagle Lake, the second largest lake wholly contained in California. Susanville is located in Honey Lake Valley (
Lassen County) at an elevation of 4,250 feet.
An AS degree can be obtained in Math/Science, Accounting, Administration of Justice, General Agriculture, Automotive Technology, Business Administration, Business-Real Estate, Computer Information Systems, Construction Technology, Correctional Science, Cosmetology, Drug and Alcohol Paraprofessional, Gunsmithing, Human Services, Journalism, Office Operations, Steam Power Operations Technology, Vocational Nursing, Welding Technology, or Word Processing.
Certificates can be obtained in these programs as well as others including Legal or Medical Secretary and Cosmetology.
