Monterey College of Law Monterey College of Law (MCL) is a State Bar accredited law school offering a four-year program of instruction leading to a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree. Most of the students at Monterey College of Law work full-time while attending law school in the evenings. The current student body ranges in age from 22 to 60 years while the median age is 36 years. MCL boasts that over 70% of their graduates have successfully taken the California bar exam.

Monterey is located on the Pacific coast south of San Francisco in Monterey County of which Salinas is the county seat.
