Initially known as Eastern Los Angeles County Community College, the College was later renamed Mt. San Antonio College after the most visible snow-capped mountain (popularly known as Mt. Baldy) in the distance behind the College. The 421.33 acre College site was originally part of the 48,000 acre La Puente Rancho. The College is the largest, single-campus community college district in the state of California with a total enrollment of 39,800. Mt. SAC is located in Walnut, Los Angeles County, CA. With more than 90 Associate Degrees and 100 Certificates available, Mt. SAC provides the opportunity to improve job skills, prepare for a new career, or complete lower division coursework required for transferring to a baccalaureate level university.
