Notre Dame de Namur University (formerly College of Notre Dame) is a comprehensive, Catholic, independent, coeducational university founded in 1851 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in San Jose and moved to
Belmont, California, in 1923. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs with liberal arts, career orientation and professional development at all levels. It also offers professional art, music, and theater presentations.
The University is located in San Mateo County, and has an enrollment of about 1700.
