Palomar College is a public two-year community college. Founded in 1946, it is one of 107 colleges in the California Community Colleges system.The Palomar campus is located approximately 30 miles north of San Diego on a 200-acre campus. Its eight major education centers serve a district covering 2,555 square miles. These eight centers are Escondido, Rancho Penasquitos, Poway, Fallbrook, Ramona, Pauma Valley, Borrego Springs and on Camp Pendleton. The five academic divisions at Palomar are: Arts and Languages; Human Arts and Sciences; Mathematics and the Natural and Health Sciences; Media, Business, and Community Services; and Vocational Technology. Palomar is located in San Marcos, San Diego County, CA, and has an enrollment of about 27,000.
