From 11 students and three faculty members at their founding in 1979, to over 300 students and nearly 45 faculty today, Dongguk Royal University (DRU), with programs in English, Korean, and Chinese, is one of the oldest and fastest growing schools of Oriental Medicine in the United States. Near downtown Los Angeles, with the surrounding vibrant Chinese and Korean communities, Hollywood not too far away, and the beaches of Santa Monica just down the freeway, a more culturally diverse and lifestyle-stimulating location in which to study toward a Master of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine would be hard to find. A sampling of coursework would include Oriental Medicine Theory, Acupuncture, Herbology, Tui-Na Therapy & Breathing Technique, Basic Sciences, Western Medicine and Management & Ethics.
