Founded in 1916 as a Department of
Sacramento High School, Sacramento City College is the seventh oldest public community college in California and the oldest institution of higher learning in Sacramento.
Among the nearly 50 majors leading to the Associates degree Sac City offers are: Advanced Transportation Technology, Gerontology, Metals Industry Technology and Women's Studies.
Career Certificates are intended to certify that students completing all required courses for a major are prepared to enter the careers designated on their certificates. Over 80 Certificate programs are available including: Private Security Services Management, Fashion Design and Production, Songwriting/Arranging and Digital Photography.
The College is located in Sacramento County, CA, and has an enrollment of about 17,000.
