Sonoma State University occupies 274 acres in the beautiful wine country of
Sonoma County, in Northern California. Located at the foot of the Sonoma hills, the campus is just an hour's drive north of
San Francisco and 40 minutes away from the Pacific Ocean.
The six academic schools include the Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics (featuring the Wine Business Program), Education, Extended Education, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. All six schools are home to several specialized academic centers and institutes.
The Graduate School awards the MA in Interdisciplinary Studies: Action for a Viable Future, the MA in Psychology (Art Therapy is one of four concentrations) and the MS in Computer and Engineering Science.
The University is located in Rohnert Park, and has an enrollment of about 7400. Student housing is available for 1800 but should be nearly double that number in the next few years.
