Ventura College, set in the rolling hills of
Ventura on a 103-acre campus, has been a part of this beautiful seaside community since 1925. It is conveniently located approximately 60 miles north of
Los Angeles and 30 miles south of
Santa Barbara.
Academic Programs and Centers include: the Central Coast Biotechnology Center, the Cisco Networking Academy, Computer Repair and Construction Technology.
The student newspaper, The Ventura College Press, has a long tradition of excellence. Recent awards include a statewide General Excellence award in 2000 from the Journalism Association of Community Colleges. That organization also recognized the Ventura College Press with Southern California General Excellence awards in 1999 and 1998. Individual students have won recognition in many areas including writing, photography, page design and copyediting.
The College is located in Ventura County, CA, and has an enrollment of about 11,000.
