The Wright Institute is located in Berkeley, Alameda County, CA, and has an enrollment of about 240. The program leads to Masters degrees and Doctoral degrees. The Institute teaches the scientific knowledge base of clinical psychology, and enriches that learning by exploring the meanings of students' own experiences in relationships with clients. This unique learning method enables students to formulate and address clinical problems by examining the lenses through which they filter experience. The clinical psychologist is a practitioner who strives to facilitate human understanding. They promote that endeavor by teaching students to think rigorously and critically. The program helps students apply critical thinking skills to three fundamental areas: clinical theory and research, understanding of the self in social context, and appreciation of the interaction between clinician and client.

All year Satellite Wagering, Waterworld USA, Paradise Island Fun Center and an RV Park are just a few of the features of the Cal Expo.The first State Fair was held in 1854 in San Francisco at the old Music Hall. The fair offered premiums (prizes) for its competitions and included such agricultural exhibits such as 2-inch-long peanuts, 72-pound beets and a 10-pound carrot that was longer than 3 feet. Horseracing was part of that first fair and has continued to be a part of the fair ever since.
