Since 1902, Western Medical Center/Santa Ana has served Orange County residents. They have 288 licensed beds and provide many services. In 1997, the facilities became part of Tenet Health System, a nationwide provider of health care services. Western Medical Center/Santa Ana is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, licensed by the state of California and approved for the acceptance of Medicare patients.

Western Medical Center/Santa Ana is an important part of the Orange County Regional Trauma Network. The hospital is designated by the county of Orange as a Level II Trauma Center and serves the needs of residents in Orange County. The hospital provides emergency services for more than 20,000 patients per year.
