San Gabriel Valley Medical Center is a 274-bed, not-for-profit, acute care hospital committed to serving the healthcare needs of the community. The medical center opened its doors in 1960 as a high-quality community hospital with 146 beds. As the San Gabriel Valley has changed over the years, so too has the medical center. The 1987 completion of a $30 million patient tower allowed the medical center to grow into a highly sophisticated healthcare facility with: Emergency Care, Cardiac Care, Skilled Nursing Facility, Obstetrics, Neonatal, Intensive Care, Mental Health Center, and Eye Care Center.
