California Hospital Medical Center (CHMC), a 313-bed private, non-profit, acute care hospital has been providing quality healthcare services to the downtown community for more than a century. CHMC was founded in 1887 by Dr. Walter Lindley and two other physicians and was originally a three-story building located at 315 W. Sixth Street, Los Angeles.
