San Joaquin General Hospital, originally established in 1857, is a general acute care facility providing a full range of inpatient services including General Medical/Surgical Care, High-Risk Obstetrics and Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatrics and Acute Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In addition to the 236-bed hospital, the medical campus includes multiple facilities dedicated to comprehensive outpatient services including Primary Care, specialty clinics and a Primary Care Walk-In Clinic. The Hospital's Ambulatory Care Network, including 11 provider sites throughout San Joaquin County provides over 200,000 outpatient clinic visits a year. The new 246,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art replacement hospital represents the first phase of the Hospital Master Plan to modernize the medical campus facilities. With the new facilities, San Joaquin General Hospital will improve its operational efficiency and the accessibility to patient friendly services.

California Exposition & State Fair Sacramento CA June12-28 The Cal Expo is the site of the California State Fair. All year Satellite Wagering, Waterworld USA, Paradise Island Fun Center and an RV Park are just a few of the features of the Cal Expo.The first State Fair was held in 1854 in San Francisco at the old Music Hall. The fair offered premiums (prizes) for its competitions and included such agricultural exhibits such as 2-inch-long peanuts, 72-pound beets and a 10-pound carrot that was longer than 3 feet. Horseracing was part of that first fair and has continued to be a part of the fair ever since.
