Founded in 1924 as the 12-bed Milton Hospital, Centinela Hospital has grown to become a 400-bed medical center with a network of satellite facilities that span from West Los Angeles to throughout the South Bay. A full-service, acute-care hospital, Centinela is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Recognized nationally and internationally for its work in the area of orthopedic medicine, Centinela is the official hospital for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Lakers, Avengers and the Long Beach Ice Dogs. It is the hospital of choice for the Los Angeles Kings.
