Hi-Desert Medical Center (HDMC) is a non-profit hospital that provides a primary health care system in the Morongo Basin of Southern California, serving the local community with a population of over 58,000 people. The Hospital's service area encompasses Wonder Valley to Yucca Valley, and as far north as Landers. Hi-Desert Medical Center distinguishes itself as having a dedicated and professional healthcare team of physicians, nurses, technicians and support staff.

The hospital district has a total of 175 beds including 55 acute with 4 ICU/CCU, and 120 skilled nursing facility beds -- which include 34 sub-acute beds. The acute care hospital first opened its doors to the public in December 1976.
