The quiet healing environment of Pomerado Hospital features only private rooms, each with a scenic view of the North County countryside. The 109-bed hospital also offers a 24-hour emergency department, family friendly Birth Center, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), cardio-pulmonary services and general medical/surgical services.

Pomerado hospital has been especially equipped for the needs of patients who are severely obese, especially those undergoing gastric bypass surgery. The nursing staff undergo specific orientation and continuing education regarding the physical and emotional needs of the severely obese individual.

A multidisciplinary team of doctors, nursing staff, and administrators meets regularly to coordinate Pomerado's obesity surgery efforts.
