Steve and Liz Miller, owners and winemakers of Milliaire (which means milestone in French), have used Sierra foothill grapes exclusively in their wines since their first vintage in 1983. The winery and tasting room is next to Murphys Creek, which provides the aging facility with perfect humidity and air conditioning.

Each fall after nature readies the grapes perfect for picking, the grape crushing and pressing process goes on in full view outside their tasting room. The Miller's draw an interested crowd, yearning to learn more about the fascinating art of winemaking.

The tasting room is open daily from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
